Sin City Tribute

"Hey"

submission: Sin City Tribute
date: September 21, 2005

You traced the drawings well and the music wasn't bad, but the first book of Sin City (with Marv and Goldie) is "The Hard Goodbye". "A Dame to kill for" is Dwight's first story, which isn't in DelToro's and Miller's film.

Lemmings: Deus Ex Machina

"You don't even mention Krinkels"

date: July 4, 2005

Well, I think this is just another rip-off of the Madness series, no originality or interest at all.
The characters (you turned madness heads into lemmings, what a change), weapons and animation are copied from Krinkels' movies in a way that they lose any sense of style, not to mention the backgrounds are very poor.
Using Lemmings original music for the first part was a good idea, and that Rammstein's song isn't a bad choice, but I think their songs are really overused in this kind of movies.
Why is the movie called Deus Ex Machina? I can't find a reason.

I hope you reply my review, I just want to see your opinion, so don't say I'm a fat kid obsessed with videogames, a gay porn-addict old man or anything like these things you say in your replies to bad reviews.

To Newgrounds visitors who are voting high on this, do you think it's good to make a rip-off like this one have a score similar to the one of Adam Philip's or Vinnie Veritas' movies?

And man, show a bit of decency and put in Krinkels name at least as inspiration.

Author's Response:

-So then you'd be dissapointed to hear that Erik is working with me on a Lemmings game?
-I did thank Krinkels in my original comments, but i swapped them for the simpler comments after the traffic slowed to a crawl.
-Deus Ex Machina means "God from the Machine"
-The backrounds were simple so they didnt distract anyone (you blink and you miss something at this speed)
-You didn't think the moving screen was at least a little interesting?
-I check peoples profiles and respond accordingly. If they are respectable newgroundians, like you (sinjid: SOTW), i respond like this. But if they have zero submisions, two reviews, both all zeros, they're 30 (or 12) and have all their favorites as porn (or videogame) flashes i dont entirely respect them.

Good Luck on Sinjid 2
